Charlotte taught me a lot of the things i was unsure about, so much so that i was confident going into my GCSEs thinking I could get an A. Her lessons were really enjoyable and challenging. When I was distracted at times she was patient but insistent that the work for a good cause.I will miss our sessions very much as we had a lot of fun. She even put in extra time to help me the day before the exam I was most nervous for. Thanks Charlotte for all your help! In the words of the great Lord Sugar “I wish you luck in your future endeavors!”  A (boy aged 16)

I enjoy playing Madlibs and finding lots of new words to use in my writing. I am so excited that I worked hard with Charlotte and got put in top set for Maths and English at school. She makes it fun to learn! L (boy aged 9)

Just to let you know that we just got the 11+ results and J has done really well. We are so grateful for all the work you did with him in Maths and Verbal Reasoning as he couldn’t have done this without you. Looking forward to him starting next year in his first choice school! Thank you!  S (parent)

I have been with my tutor for 2 years now and have progressed a lot. She has helped me to do well with my Year 6 SATs and now I am lucky to have help going into Year 7. My favourite thing is learning through games. I really enjoy how she makes everything we learn fun. S (girl aged 11)

Before I started with Purcell Tutoring I was not very confident with maths and was predicted to get a F or U for my maths GCSE. I could not do negative numbers let alone do my times tables which left me in a very uncomfortable position for my maths GCSE.
Once I started with Purcell tutoring my grades really picked up, with the support from Charlotte who showed enormous effort, determination and patience. The one to one sessions really helped to make maths work for me, and after a couple of weeks with Purcell tutoring I knew my times tables exceptionally well and was really starting to gain understanding of negative numbers. I was only fortunate enough to have Purcell tutoring for a couple of months however those few months really played importance to my maths GCSE. Charlotte started me off with the basic principles behind maths and managed to teach me a* topics with no trouble at all. I really only have Purcell tutoring to thank for the contribution it paid towards my maths GCSE and after only a couple of months my grade changed massively from a U to a B. Without Purcell tutoring I would have failed my maths GCSE and can’t thank Purcell tutoring enough for all the determination, and effort they brought with each week. In my opinion there is no other tutors that would have brought as much determination and patience that Purcell tutoring did for me!! K (girl aged 16)

I enjoy everything I do with my tutor. I even find the homework fun! I like to be challenged and my tutor has introduced me to lots of puzzles to get me to find learning interesting again. Y (boy aged 10)

My favourite thing is achieving my targets and getting a prize. It makes me want to work harder in our lessons. I have now learned how to tell the time and I am practicing for my 11+ exams. T (boy aged 10)
